Flashback to Brittney + Sean's Wedding
Brittney here! And today is my 2nd wedding anniversary!!!!!!
Sean and I got married about one month after Suzy + I opened the Handzy shop, so it was definitely a very crazy busy season of life. And at the time, we didn't have a blog! So I never blogged about our super cute and fun and amazing wedding!!! Until now!
So take a trip down memory lane with me while I relive the best day of my life. And I know that sounds cliche, but it's true!!! When Sean + I got back to our Airbnb the evening of our wedding, I just kept looking at him and saying over and over "that was SO fun!"
I won't go into the details of every little thing, but overall it was a very DIY wedding. Sean and I made all of the decorations and designed the invitations. We had a small team of friends + family go to the venue (Neltner's Farm) to set up that morning. Our friend Kathy was our dj (Yaeji!!!!! She's pretty much famous now!), our friend Madeline made the bouquets for me and my bridesmaids, our friend Annie did my hair and makeup, our friend Jillian made our cakes, our friend Anna was the day-of coordinator, and Suzy helped me with general planning and DIYing during the months leading up to the big day! Shay Nartker and Katie McCue were our photographers and Sean Highley was our videographer. The center pieces were all fresh fruit (thanks Kroger ClickList!), thrift store vases, and fake flowers. Dinner was catered by Eli's BBQ and then we just had a bunch of snacks and candy, too!
Bridesmaids all picked their own dresses (I just gave them a color scheme) and the groomsmen shirts are from Forever 21. Sean's shirt is from Bonobos and his shoes are Vans. I made my flower crown with fake flowers from Michael's. My dress is from the David's Bridal clearance rack, and my reception outfit was just a random white satin-y top and a dress-turned-skirt (thanks Shaheen!), plus some flat sandals from Target. I'm so glad I ended up leaving my heels at home at the last minute, because I felt so comfortable the entire night! I really just felt like myself, but a little fancier!
It was truly the best day and I wish we could have more weddings because dang it was fun!!! So thanks for reading—now I'm off to celebrate! Cheers!
